Moroccan-Spiced Baked Chicken Legs

Description: Take your tastebuds on a journey to North Africa with these Moroccan-spiced chicken legs. Each bite is infused with warming spices like cumin, cinnamon, and turmeric, balanced by a hit of citrus and garlic. The skin crisps up in the oven while the inside stays juicy and infused with rich, exotic flavors. Serve with couscous or flatbread for an aromatic and deeply satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken legs
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 t ground cumin
  • 1 t smoked paprika
  • 1 t ground turmeric
  • 1/2 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 t ground coriander
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and all the spices.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the chicken legs and let marinate for 30 minutes (optional for deeper flavor).
  4. Place in a baking dish and roast for 45–50 minutes, turning once halfway through.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and serve with couscous or rice.
