Melted Brie on Fresh French Bread

This simple, elegant appetizer captures the effortless charm of classic French snacking—with a distinct RizzieFarms touch. Thick, diagonal slices of fresh French baguette are topped with slivers of creamy Président Brie, lightly dusted with garlic granules, and baked until the cheese turns molten and dreamy. The warm, garlicky bread pairs beautifully with the buttery richness of the Brie, while bright fresh fruit—such as orange slices and crisp seedless grapes—adds color, freshness, and a pop of natural sweetness. Perfect for impromptu gatherings, wine nights, or a quick farm-style treat, this appetizer is proof that the most satisfying dishes often come from the simplest ingredients.

Slices of French baguette topped with melted Brie and served with fresh fruit.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the baguette Slice the 1 French baguette diagonally into 2-inch pieces. Arrange the slices in a single layer in an ovenproof glass baking dish.
  3. Add Brie and season Slice the 7 oz Brie cheese into 1/4-inch slivers and place them evenly on top of each baguette piece. Lightly sprinkle each piece with garlic granules.
  4. Bake Bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the Brie is fully melted and the edges of the baguette begin to crisp.
  5. Garnish and serve Transfer the warm Brie-topped baguette pieces to a serving platter. Arrange orange slices, seedless green grapes, or other fresh fruit around the bread. Serve immediately while the Brie is hot and melty.

Notes

  • Slice the baguette a little thicker (2 inches) to hold the melted Brie without getting soggy.
  • For extra flavor, brush the bread lightly with olive oil before adding the Brie.
  • This appetizer pairs beautifully with white wine or sparkling beverages.
  • Experiment with other fruits such as fresh figs, strawberries, or apple slices.
