Cranberry–Apple–Orange Relish

This bright, fresh Cranberry–Apple–Orange Relish is a timeless holiday staple at RizzieFarms. Unlike cooked cranberry sauce, this no-cook relish keeps all the vibrant, crisp flavors of its ingredients — tart cranberries, juicy oranges, and a crisp Granny Smith apple. A touch of sugar balances the sharp fruitiness and brings everything together into a beautifully textured, ruby-red condiment. Perfect with roasted turkey, pork, ham, or simply spooned over yogurt or oatmeal, this relish delivers pure, refreshing flavors with every bite and stores wonderfully for make-ahead holiday prep.

Ingredients

Relish Base
  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries, rinsed

Bright cranberry-apple-orange relish in a bowl.

Instructions

  1. Prep the fruit Rinse 12 ounces fresh cranberries. Peel, core, and chop 1 large Granny Smith apple. Chop 1 whole orange, leaving the peel on but removing any seeds.
  2. Process Place the 12 ounces cranberries, chopped Granny Smith apple, and chopped orange into a food processor. Pulse until everything is finely chopped but not pureed.
  3. Sweeten Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in 3/4 to 1 cup granulated sugar, adjusting the amount until the sweetness balances the tartness of the cranberries and orange peel.
  4. Chill Cover the relish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld and the sugar dissolve fully.
  5. Serve Stir before serving. Enjoy alongside roasted turkey, pork, ham, or as a bright topping for yogurt, oatmeal, or desserts.

Notes

  • For extra brightness, add a splash of orange juice or zest another orange.
  • If you prefer a smoother relish, pulse longer in the processor.
  • Sugar amount varies based on cranberry tartness; start with 3/4 cup and add more if needed.
  • Stores well and tastes even better the next day.
