Anisette Chicken Breasts

Servings: 4 servings

Description: Chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce with the flavor of licorice liqueur.

Ingredients:

• 4 chicken breast halves
• 2 T butter
• 2 T olive oil
• 1 t salt
• 1/2 t pepper
• 2 C sliced mushrooms
• 1/4 C milk
• 2 T flour
• 2 T whipping cream
• 1/4 C licorice-flavored liqueur

Instructions:

1. Flatten chicken and brown in butter and oil. Season.
2. Add mushrooms and cook 15 minutes. Remove chicken and mushrooms.
3. Whisk milk, flour, and cream. Add to pan with liqueur. Boil and stir until thickened.
4. Pour sauce over chicken.
